About the Title II Digital Accessibility Initiative
The Title II Digital Accessibility Initiative supports UNCG’s ongoing commitment to making digital content, resources, and technology accessible to people with disabilities. The primary focus of this initiative is on preparing UNCG for Title II digital accessibility requirements while also building sustainable practices for creating, maintaining, and improving accessible digital content.
UNCG launched this initiative in 2025, with a focus on training, awareness and resource development. Since then, UNCG has continued progress towards compliance through a phased approach designed to support realistic and achievable goals. Priorities for the 2026-2027 academic year include accessible content creation, remediation, accessibility monitoring and continuing to provide appropriate tools and resources needed to support faculty and staff.

Current Priorities
Fall 2026: University-Created Digital Content
The Fall 2026 priority is digital content created and maintained by faculty and staff. Faculty will continue to focus on making instructor-created course materials accessible, while staff will focus on making sure web content and other digital resources they create and maintain are accessible.
Spring 2027: Third-Party Digital Content
Beginning in Spring 2027, the initiative will shift focus to third-party digital content used by faculty and staff. This includes materials, documents, resources, and other digital content that UNCG did not create, but shares or uses as part of its courses, programs, services, and activities.
