This page covers the most common online video platforms used by UNCG faculty and supported by the UNCG ITS department. Review what each platform can and can’t do to help match your video content with the appropriate platform for your needs.
CANVAS STUDIO
- Best for any size group of faculty and students
- Primary Function: asynchronous video learning and collaborative discussion with its easy video maker, engaging content, and video feedback

- Best for groups of up to 10 faculty, staff, and students
- Primary Function: video conference-calling platform designed to link remote groups together for real-time interaction

PANOPTO
- Best for any size group of faculty, staff, and students
- Primary Function: lecture capture software that allows users to include video, audio, screen capture, labs, and slides into a recording

- Hosts up to 300 faculty, staff, and students
